If you’ve studied for a traditional career but are now looking for something a bit different, then the London School of Economics (LSE) conference this weekend is for you. Better still, it stars our very own Leanne Davis who’ll be talking about her journey to becoming a social media professional.

Looking at alternative career paths, the conference, called ‘Traditional meets Alternative’, has a special focus on media. Speakers from Instagram, YouTube and BuzzFeed will be sharing their insider secrets.

And so too will Leanne. She’ll share more on her path to a career she loves at immediate future – giving attendees a look what her role entails and her experiences (good and bad) along the way. She says: “It’s important to be involved in helping those on traditional career paths examine the extraordinarily varied roles that are the future of work. Digital has done more than disrupt how we work and how we interact with brands, it’s created opportunities for wholly new careers for people with traditional skills and educational backgrounds. I want to show the audience how digital can be a career for anyone with the right mind-set”.

Leanne joins Hon. Patricia Ken-Divine (International Trade and Investment Advisor and Business Development Consultant), Maria Pacha Dominguez (Growth and Partnerships- Aid for AECOM), and Ellie Edwards-Scott (Digital Media Consultant). The conference starts at 9am on 24th February at LSE. We know Leanne will be brilliant, so pop along if you’re free on Saturday!
