New Monolithic Style Design from Sony
Add elegant style to your Living Room

The new 2010 Blu-ray Disc Players from Sony will redefine home entertainment in your Living Room, even before you switch them on.

New Blu-ray Disc Players showcase the new Monolithic Design. Featuring a seamless blend of high-quality materials and a beautiful surface finish, they add a stylish, minimalist presence and create a sense of space in your room.

The same design concept extends across all new 2010 home entertainment products from Sony. The new range of Blu-ray Disc Players combine effortlessy with new BRAVIA® TVs and Home Cinema systems to create one seamless and unique home entertainment experience.

Explore a whole new world of entertainment

New Blu-ray Disc Players from Sony, such as the BDP-S570, have Wi-Fi built-in. It provides an easy way to connect to the Internet so you can explore a huge choice of online content and services from the comfort of your Living Room.

BRAVIA Internet Video lets you watch the programmes you missed on popular ‘catch-up’ TV services, beginning with Five On Demand™ from early 2010.  Catch-up TV is one of Europe’s fastest growing trends. It means you can forget the family arguments over the remote control and enjoy full-screen re-runs of your favourite TV shows at times that suit you.

There’s also a whole world of free, on-demand videos to explore from sharing websites such as YouTube™, Dailymotion™ and many more. There’s no need to hook up your PC or watch on a cramped screen; you can quickly access new videos and services as they’re added and stream full-screen content direct to your TV.

To ensure you can still enjoy lower resolution video on your large screen TV, a Blu-ray Disc Player like the BDP-S570 offers IP Content Noise Reduction to improve the picture quality by creating sharper image edges and more impactful colours.

An Entertainment Database Browser, using technology from Gracenote®, also allows you to browse details like actor and production information from a Blu-ray Disc and access related content found on BRAVIA Internet Video.

Discover a whole new viewing dimension

Blu-ray entertainment has now moved into a whole new dimension. A Blu-ray Disc Player like the BDP-S770 is fully ready to play Blu-ray 3D™ movies on a 3D enabled TV.

Forget about blurry, coloured pictures and cut-out cardboard glasses. The 3D world created by Sony uses the high frame rate of our 200Hz technology and Active Shutter glasses to create incredibly realistic depth and vivid Full HD 3D images.

With an increasing number of movies and music concerts filmed in 3D, plus new TVs like the BRAVIA LX900 incorporating the latest 3D technology, you’ll truly feel like you’re in the middle of the action in your living room.

Share movies, music and photos from around the house

New Blu-ray Disc Players from Sony, such as the BDP-S370, are now DLNA enabled following a firmware update. It gives you even more entertainment possibilities around the home.

DLNA compatibility means a new Blu-ray Disc Player from Sony can ‘talk’ to other compatible DLNA devices such as a phone, laptop or music player and play their stored content on your TV, no matter where at home the device is located.

You can also easily plug an external Hard Disk Drive or USB device into the front USB port of the BDP-S370 and enjoy stored movies, music or photos through your TV orhome cinema system . With new Blu-ray Disc Players now able to play a larger range of file types, including DivX HD and MKV format, it’s easier than ever to share personal entertainment from all over the home.

Unique to new Blu-ray Disc Players and Home Cinema systems from Sony, users with an iPhone or iPod touch can control home entertainment using a free app that can be downloaded from the App Store. The app allows an iPhone or iPod touch to function as a remote control and includes the ability to access a Blu-ray Disc’s details such as jacket artwork, actor, and production information as well as search for additional video clips online.
