Social media makes your decisions!

We all have decisions to be made throughout the day, some big, some small, all require us to think and consider which option is best. If you’re indecisive you probably base your decisions on an external influence, which could be a friend’s advice or a news article.

Social media plays a big role in most of our lives and probably impacts you in a way that is completely intangible and immeasurable. It impacts your decision making process whether consciously or not. Everyone in this world has a point of view and many have turned to social media to display theirs, and there is always one of us there to listen. However, if you take a step back and accept that social media can help you make decisions, even if you are a “fence sitter”, stop being a sheep and become the shepherd.

Let us take three everyday decisions that most of us tend to struggle to make, but must, and see how you can use social media to make the decision.

What to wear in the morning?

If you’re like me the thought process of what to wear in the morning consists of two key factors: The weather and what I am doing that day.

Finding out the weather on social media is pretty simple. If your Facebook friends are like mine then there will be no shortage of morning status’ related to the weather. Look out for these kind of comments…”Can’t believe how cold it is brrrr” or “It’s finally the end of winter!! Hello Summer”. This information is very important as it means you do not have to get out of bed in the morning to know the weather.

Whether it is an important meeting with a potential client or a dress down Friday, there are plenty of fashion related Instagram profiles that could inspire your outfit selection. Not only will it help you stand out from the crowd it can potentially be the difference between a good day and a bad one. First impressions and all that…

Where to go for lunch?

If you’re like me and tend to go out for lunch you become very bored of the same food from the same place relatively quickly. Then think outside the big four social media platforms and have a play with foursquare. It’s very easy to use and  you can see where your friends have been.

Simply select what you are looking for, your location and away you go!

What to watch on TV?

This is the perfect excuse to get on Twitter and see what is “trending”. If it is worth watching, it will be “trending” on Twitter – trust me. If you are unlucky and there is not a “trending” TV show then just type in “TV show” into the Twitter search bar and take a read of some of the conversations to see what is on. Finally, give @whatsontvuk or @MSNtv a follow and stay up-to-date with all TV related news.

Next time you have a decision to make why not head to social media for the answer? I promise you now you’ll find it. If you don’t please do comment here and I’ll help you!!
