Facebook give you more tools to optimise video content!

We’re serious about social media. That’s why data analytics and insights get us excited!

For a while now, we’ve been drumming into everyone that Facebook and video content are harmonious. So, as we’re all using video, we bet you’re itching to know what Facebook have done with its Video Insights section that’s available to Pages…

We’re here to bring you the good news. There are, not one but, THREE exciting new metrics that have been added to Facebook’s Video Insights! Here we go…

Followers vs. Non-Followers. This does what it says on the tin. In a time when the Facebook algorithm is changing drastically, it’s particularly useful to see who’s been viewing your video, as this can be greatly affected by the algo. Followers could view more or less than non-followers, and you’ll be able to check that with this metric.

Audience Demographics. Looking at your audience retention by gender. Marketers always need to look at the audience that they have and compare this to the audience that they want. Data on audience demographics can be used directly to leverage your video content output.

Zoom Chart. A closer look at the chart. Zoom in on the data. Which key moments within the content affect the ways that viewers engage? This data will allow you to check which parts of the video prompts your viewers to engage, so you can optimise what actually goes into your videos!

There’s a reason we dig data so much. It helps you squeeze the pips out of what’s performed well, so you can optimise your content and make future content even better! You can learn so much about the audience that you have and make choices based around it. The data is there, and now it’s up to you to use it. Social media backed by data – it doesn’t get any better!
