Could it be? The much-awaited desktop version of DMs is FINALLY here? Well, almost. Instagram talked about and tested this functionality around February of last year, however, they have now confirmed that it will be happening and are slowly rolling out direct message access via their web-based platform.
DMs, but make them desktop. 👍

It’s still in the early stages of their test phase, but hearing this is great news!
For those of you into your DMs, today we start to test Direct on the desktop web. Now, it’s only a small percentage of people for now — we need to make sure it works well — but we hope to bring this to everyone soon.https://t.co/x0toGW66Bp

Desktop version for DMs not only makes it widely accessible to those who prefer IG’ing on their laptop, but also makes it so much easier to keep things organised. This is a great way for brands and bigger companies to stay on top of their customer’s messages, rather than going through Facebook’s Direct page, which is incredibly clunky.
I’m sure we are all looking forward to this addition, and we’ll be keeping our eyes open!
