IWD 2022: #BreakTheBias

Imagine a world free of stereotypes, discrimination, and gender bias. An inclusive world where diversity is valued and celebrated!

March 8th is International Women’s Day – one of the most important days of the year for individuals, organisations, and communities to celebrate women’s achievements, raise awareness about gender’s equality and challenge stereotypes.

This year’s theme is #BreakTheBias. Bias makes it difficult for women to move ahead. Gender equality is a mutual goal and responsibility.

Will you help break the bias? Cross your arms to show solidarity.

Here are female-focused charities, listed by IWD, where you can donate:

World Association of Girl Guides & Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) is the largest international youth movement dedicated to girls and young women, supporting over 10 million girls across 152 countries and is an IWD Charity of Choice since 2007.

Catalyst is a global non-profit working with companies around the world to build workplaces that work for women. They’re a trusted resource for knowledge on gender, leadership and inclusive talent management and is an IWD Charity of Choice since 2017.

Equality Now helps create a just world where women and girls have the same rights as men and boys by tackling difficult issues, challenging ingrained cultural assumptions, calling out inequality, and using the power of the law to create enduring equality.

Nomi Network helps to combat human trafficking by creating pathways to safe employment and empowering women and girls to break cycles of slavery in their families and communities.

Dress for Success empowers women across the world to achieve economic independence via a network of support, professional attire, and tools to help them thrive in work and life. Consider donating an hour of pay to empower a woman to change her future via Your Hour Her Power.

Womankind Worldwide supports women’s rights organisations and movements to secure equal rights for women and girls so they can live without fear of violence, have a say in decisions that impact them, and control their own life.

Together, we can all break the bias – on International Women’s Day (IWD) and beyond.

2016 is when social stopped being “posts in a feed” and became a ranked system that decides what gets seen, shared, trusted. In 2026 that same logic sits everywhere, in-platform search, Google snippets, and AI overviews that summarise your brand before anyone clicks. Ofcom says around 30% of UK keyword searches now show AI overviews, and 53% of adults often see AI summaries. The uncomfortable truth is that buyers get a machine-written version of you, then sanity-check it with humans in DMs and group chats. Brands win when their claims are clear, proof is easy to find, and real people show up consistently.
